NEWS: The Mets are expected to activate Francisco Lindor (strained left calf) off the 10-day IL in time for him to play Wednesday.

BHQ SPIN: Lindor will have missed two months with his calf injury. We’ve restored most of his projected playing time. He’s now at 85% - mostly at shortstop, but a little at DH. Normally he’d be projected to play 90%-95% of the time, but we expect the Mets to be cautious with his playing time at least initially. For example, the Mets are playing a doubleheader on Wednesday, and it would be a surprise for him to start both games. The corresponding move is not yet known, but recently acquired infielder Zack Short would seem to be a likely candidate although...
