NEWS: OF Tyler O'Neill was placed on the 10-day injured list, retroactive to May 26, with right knee inflammation.

BHQ SPIN: O’Neill initially injured his knee against the Brewers last weekend, leaving the team’s May 25 game after the seventh inning. He had left the team in Baltimore to have an MRI back in Boston on May 29, which did not reveal any structural damage. O’Neill, who has been drawing semi-regular starts at DH in an attempt to keep him on the field, could return as soon as June 5. After a hot start, O’Neill missed some time in April with a concussion and has hit only .200 with 4 HR in 26 games since his return.
