NEWS: Miami optioned LHP Braxton Garrett to Triple-A and recalled LHP Cade Gibson from the minors.

BHQ SPIN: Garrett struggled with his control in his first two big league starts of the year, walking more batters (five) in the first start alone than he did in all of his seven of his 2024 starts combined (four). It’s a concerning trend for a pitcher who lives and dies by his command, so much so that the Marlins will move on from him despite the brief sample size.
