Cards' Herrera to continue to see AB

St. Louis Cardinals
NEWS: Cardinals optioned OF Victor Scott to the minors and called up C Pedro Pages.
IMPACT: Medium
BHQ SPIN: Scott (-5%) was getting a lot of buzz late in draft season, with Tommy Edman’s early season absence providing some PT runway to showcase Scott’s blazing speed. However, Scott has failed to take advantage up to this point, hitting just .085/.139/.136 and just two SB over 65 PA. Iván Herrera (+20%) is the big PT gainer here, as the call-up of Pages as a third catcher signals that the Cardinals plan to use both Willson Contreras and Herrera simultaneously in the lineup, sharing both C and DH. Herrera has been solid, slashing .244/.308/.444 with an xPX of 138 over 52 PA.
