Brewers turn to Ashby for Gasser's rotation spot

NEWS: Milwaukee placed LHP Robert Gasser on the 15-day IL and in a corresponding move recalled LHP Aaron Ashby from AAA-Nashville. Milwaukee also recalled RHP Tobias Myers from AAA-Nashville and in a corresponding move sent RHP Janson Junk to AAA-Nashville.

BHQ SPIN: Gasser finds himself on the IL with a left flexor strain in his pitching elbow. It sounds like he will be getting a second opinion on the diagnosis, which isn’t usually great news. Since Gasser joined the rotation on May 10th he has looked like he belongs with a sterling 2.57/1.04 ERA/WHIP, though some luck has been involved in his good start as he has a 3.91 xERA.
Ashby was called up from Triple-A and started on 6/5...
