NEWS: Seattle activated 1B Ty France from the 10-day IL and in a corresponding move designated C Seby Zavala for assignment.

BHQ SPIN: It seems that France didn’t need all that much time to heal from his hairline fracture in his heel as he is back just a day over the minimum 10 days. In the three weeks before he went on the IL, he had some good numbers with a slash line of .286/.416/.508 with 3 HRs and 13 RBIs. With Tyler Locklear keeping his roster spot and showing off his power (213 PX) in a small sample, it is likely that France’s playing time won’t quite return to his previous levels. Manager Scott Servais mentioned that they will find ways to get Locklear some regular at-bats....
