RELIEVERS: NL 2019 early look

Today, we look ahead to 2019 in the National League. There are multiple free agents in play this winter, as well, and this column will touch on the significant ones who are leaving NL teams.

As with last week, the goal of this column is not to mention every reliever. It is to provide the top arms by BPIs under the control of each team. We start with Arizona who went most of the year with Brad Boxberger (RHP, ARI) as the closer before he faltered late. Lately, it has been mostly Archie Bradley (RHP, ARI) and some Yoshihisa Hirano (RHP, ARI). Here are the top four by year-to-date BPIs:

ARI SV IP DOM CMD HR/9 xERA BPV LI vL vR
============= == == ==== ==== ==== ==== === ==== ==== ====
B.Boxberger   32 49 12.5  2.5  1.7...

Almost!
