Hot relievers in August

It is crunch time, and you already know the 2026 results to-date and remaining projections. There is a lot of variability in grabbing a guy who was hot in August, but these are relievers that will get leverage in September.
The first three are all lefties with an xERA in August under 2.00:

Detroit Tigers lefty Drew Sommers (LHP, DET) has been nothing short of spectacular with four holds, a 0.64 actual ERA, 1.17 xERA, and 0.71 WHIP. Sommers has had a 47% K%, which is all likely to regress, but he has looked the part and could vulture a save or two while setting up from the left side.
