Yet sometimes that hope can contaminate otherwise sensible fantasy owners with a dangerous optimism and naive trust of small samples. Nobody wants to be late to the party for the next impact rookie of course, but the start of every season can make owners blind to the questionable skills of players that just happen to race out of the gate.
