GM's OFFICE: Welcome back!

Well, Tony Clark (pictured above) and Rob Manfred somehow managed to not kill the golden goose... the fowl (barely) escaped, with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

The good news is that we can turn the page and put that unpleasantness behind us, at least for a while. Nobody who paid any attention to the "negotiations" of the past month can muster much optimism about the post-2021 CBA negotiations. But that problem lurks just beyond the horizon.

In the meantime, we get some baseball this year. It will be played against the backdrop of a pandemic, and will in some ways look like nothing we've seen before.

Plus, the coronavirus itself may yet derail this season... but at least naked greed won't.
