GM's OFFICE: The fantasy relevance of the MLB Draft

In the past, the MLB Draft (the 2018 version of which begins on Monday evening, June 4) was easily overlooked by fantasy players. After all, it has been exceedingly rare that any of the players selected have impacted that current MLB baseball season. Without immediate fantasy implications, the event is frequently relegated to second-class status—something we'll all get to next winter, as we prepare our farm systems for the next (in this case, 2019) season.
