PT TOMORROW: NL West—Turbulence looming in the ARI pen?

Arizona Diamondbacks

After a turbulent 2018 in which he was unceremoniously released by the Cardinals, Greg Holland (RHP, ARI) looked to be back at it again, converting each of his first 8 save chances without allowing an earned run through 11 innings pitched. Then he went out and allowed runs in back-to-back outings this week, including a blown save on Wednesday. His velocity, which was reportedly in the 90 mph range this spring, has been up at 92.3 mph to start the year—still a bit down from last year’s 93 mph. He’s generating swinging strikes at an impressive (17%) clip, but the walk issues that have plagued him in recent seasons still persist. If he doesn’t improve on his 48% FpK and 5.3 Ctl, the ride will surely get bumpy...

Almost!
