As noted here earlier this week, Logan Forsythe (2B/3B, LA) was placed on the DL on April 15 with shoulder inflammation, which the team hopes will only sideline him for the minimum 10 days. Forsythe wasn't exactly off to a scorching start though, as evidenced by his 8-for-46 with 1 HR to open the season, raising at least the question as to whether the shoulder has limited (and will continue to limit) his offensive production.
With Justin Turner (3B, LA) having yet to pick up a bat as he recovers from a fractured wrist, Kyle Farmer (C, LA), discussed in this space last week, and Enrique Hernandez (SS/OF, LA) should man the hot corner in the short term. Hernandez was recently discussed in Stephen Nickrand’s Very Early...
