After missing a few weeks earlier in the season with a shoulder injury, Opening Day center fielder Denard Span (OF, SF) is hitting .271 (.281 xBA) with 9 HR, 56 Runs, 32 RBI and 8 SB across 399 AB. The 33-year-old’s days as a CF may be coming to an end, however, as the Giants envision him as more of a LF moving forward.

This could open the door for Steven Duggar (OF, SF) in the coming weeks. As noted in the Minor League Baseball Analyst, Duggar has well above average speed and could be a good CF with a plus arm. Despite dealing with a hip injury earlier this year, Duggar is hitting .264 with 4 HR, 20 RBI and 9 SB (vs. 0 CS) in 33 games (125 AB) at AAA-Sacramento. He doesn’t figure to provide much in the power...
