After topping 155 games in back-to-back years, Wil Myers (1B/OF, SD) is currently on the DL for the third time this season, having fouled a ball off his foot on August 2. He expressed optimism about being able to return when first eligible (next Monday, August 13), and he’ll be looking to pick right back up where he left off, hitting .273 (.275 xBA) with 9 HR and 5 SB in 44 games (172 AB). And defensively, while he figures to resume his customary position in the outfield, it’s worth noting that he was spotted a couple of times taking pre-game grounders at 3B prior to hitting the DL.
