PT TOMORROW: NL West—Bradley finding a new home in the bullpen

Arizona Diamondbacks

As foolish as it may be to draw sweeping conclusions while still in the throes of the season's second week, it’s hard to deny that the 2017 Diamondbacks look much improved from the 2016 version that finished 69-93, fourth place in the NL West. Sitting at 7-2 through the first nine games, with a run-producing lineup and developing rotation, it’s the bullpen—after finishing last year with a 4.94 ERA (27th in the majors) and converting a mere 58% of their save opportunities (26th in MLB)—that's giving some surprising cause for optimism.

A big part of that optimism is post-hype prospect Archie Bradley (RHP, ARI), who moved to the bullpen after losing out on the 5th starter battle—thanks in part to the 13 ER he gave up...

Almost!
