The Diamondbacks are surely looking forward to putting the month of May in their rearview mirror, having gone 7-18 after a strong 20-8 record to open the season. Their season-long hitting woes (.289 wOBA, 28th in the MLB) are hard to overlook, but the pitching has remained relatively strong despite key injuries to Taijuan Walker (RHP, ARI) and Robbie Ray (LHP, ARI). On a positive note, Ray did receive good news regarding his ailing oblique, and could return in the next couple of weeks.
