PT TOMORROW: NL East—New role for Camargo

Atlanta Braves

Johan Camargo (3B/SS, ATL), who was labeled as a future utilityman as he worked his way through the minor leagues, spent 2018 as Atlanta’s primary third baseman and enjoyed a breakout season, batting .272 with 19 HR in 464 AB. However, the arrival of Josh Donaldson (3B, ATL) via free agency has clouded the 25-year-old’s outlook heading into 2019.

General manager Alex Anthopoulos has stated that he envisions Camargo taking on a super-utility role, potentially still starting four or five times per week despite not having a locked in position.
