PT TOMORROW: NL East—Mets have decision to make at catcher

New York Mets

Although Travis d’Arnaud (C, NYM) sits atop the catcher position on the official Mets depth chart, he could be in danger of losing his No. 1 job to Kevin Plawecki (C, NYM). Each backstop drew four starts during the club’s initial eight games, which makes the situation appear to be more of a timeshare. And, it’s fair for fantasy owners to speculate that Plawecki will be the catcher who logs the most playing time for the Mets this season. Plawecki slashed .260/.364/.400 last season and owns an impressive lifetime .297/.364/.451 slash line in the minors. Additionally, the 27-year-old Plawecki has never been on the disabled list while d’Arnaud has logged DL stints in each of the previous four seasons.
