A recent report suggested that the Mets are considering parting ways with José Reyes (SS, NYM), which would hardly be a surprising move considering that the veteran has posted a .400 OPS this season. But this is a tough time to let Reyes go, as the club is also dealing with a DL stint for reserve utility man Wilmer Flores (1B, NYM). Still, Flores is expected to soon return from lower back soreness, and he could have a larger role if Reyes is off the roster. Additionally, a Reyes departure would give additional opportunities for either Luis Guillorme (SS, NYM). Guillorme is on the active roster at the moment, and even though the 23-year-old hasn’t succeeded during his initial major league action (.453 OPS), he was slashing...
