Don’t look now (actually, do), but Todd Frazier (3B, NYM) has been hot since returning from his early-season injury woes: .261/.342/.463 with 27 R, 11 HR, 34 RBI, 1 SB in 203 AB. His underlying stats may quibble a bit with the results (90 HctX, 98 PX, 96 xPX) but the point is this: with the S.S. NYM taking on a lot of water, Frazier is positioning himself as an attractive trade target ahead of the July 31 deadline. If he does get dealt, what does that mean for the Mets at 3B?

J.D. Davis (3B/OF, NYM) retreated to the bench upon Frazier’s activation, but has continued to produce in limited playing time. His season line currently reads: .278/.343/.454 with 27 R, 8 HR, 23 RBI in 194 AB, comparing very favorably to Frazier’s in...
