Two weeks ago in this space, we looked at how the then-pending return of Joey Wendle to the Marlins might have a negative playing time impact on SB-hero Jon Berti. Wendle came back as scheduled, but Berti got a bit of reprieve as Jazz Chisholm landed on the IL just after Wendle returned.

Still, the past couple of weeks have seen a PT dip for Berti. Since Chisholm went out, Berti has picked up four starts at 2B, one at 3B, and one in LF. One bit of good news is that Berti continues to run wild: after a staggering 18 SB in June alone, he has already added three more (in just 13 AB) in July.
