The catching position has been a pleasant surprise offensively in Milwaukee in the early part of the season. Through May 10, the .812 OPS from Brewers’ catchers ranks sixth among all MLB clubs. Jett Bandy (C, MIL) entered the season as the expected regular after the Brewers traded for him during the offseason and Andrew Susac (C, MIL) began the season on the DL. Bandy hit 8 HR in 209 AB last season as a rookie with the Angels, but had just a .234 BA. However, a hot start from Manny Piña (C, MIL) has led to a nearly 50/50 job share behind the dish.
