With the All-Star break upon us, the PT Tomorrow crew will be using the week to preview the top potential playing time battles at both hitter and pitcher. This is the first column in that series.
Pitcher Battle
The Brewers are anticipating the return of Brandon Woodruff (RHP, MIL). After initially having his recovery slowed a bit due to his arm not responding favorably to throwing, he appears to be set in a positive direction. Woodruff threw a 25-pitch bullpen session Sunday, and depending on his ramp-up could be in line for an early August return. That still leaves the team to get through several turns through the rotation out of the All-Star break to sort out who will stick, who will shift to the bullpen, and who...
