Jonathan India (2B/3B, CIN) wasn’t able to immediately translate his spring training success into the regular season. He’s shown signs of life recently, hitting .328/.446 with seven extra-base hits in his last 20 games (through Saturday). Even so, the impending return of Joey Votto (1B, CIN) and Mike Moustakas (2B/3B, CIN) will complicate India’s path to playing time. The decision point appears to be whether Bell will shift Eugenio Suárez (SS/3B, CIN) back to shortstop, leaving open third base for Moustakas and second base for India.
