The Cubs’ rotation has been steady this season, and with the exception of a short stint on the injured list for Jon Lester (LHP, CHC), the team has been able to trot out the same starting five for the majority of the season. The bullpen, however, has been a different story. Though Brandon Kintzler (RHP, CHC) and Steve Cishek (RHP, CHC) have pitched admirably for the most part, the Cubs have struggled to find the proper bridge relievers to get from their starters to the eighth and ninth innings. Brad Brach (RHP, CHC), Kyle Ryan (LHP, CHC), and Allen Webster (RHP, CHC) have all proven uninspiring.

That could clear a path for Adbert Alzolay (RHP, CHC) to break into the major leagues as an impact reliever. Entering the season...
