The obvious beneficiary is Nolan Gorman (2B, STL), who will be the team’s starting second baseman barring significant struggles. However, the battle at shortstop and left field offer more intrigue. 

Tommy Edman (IF, STL) has been publicly declared the team’s shorting shortstop since the demotion of DeJong. Combined with the promotion of Gorman, that leaves Edmundo Sosa (2B/SS, STL) without much room for playing time.
