Scooter Gennett (2B, MIL) had his strong start to the season interrupted by an oblique strain, which landed him on the disabled list. He's eligible to be activated May 10, and while it reportedly won't happen that day, he's on track to be ready soon thereafter. Gennett's return will be welcome, as fill-in Yadiel Rivera (2B, MIL) has struggled mightily, with seven hits and 14 strikeouts in 37 at-bats, while platoon mate Colin Walsh (3B, MIL) is 3 for 28—though he's somehow managed to work 11 walks, good for a .375 on-base-percentage.

Gennett should immediately assume at least the strong half of a platoon at second base, but since he's never hit lefties very well, Walsh may continue to get most of the starts against...
