The Brewers opened the season against three right-handers over the weekend, providing a potential glimpse of their lineup for the majority of the season. While there weren’t any major surprises in terms of players in the lineup, there were some interesting notes in regard to the order.

One major winner was Eric Sogard (INF, MIL), who sat atop the lineup for all three games. While it requires some cherry-picking of stats, Sogard has shown the ability to excel in that role across multiple seasons. In 615 plate appearances from the leadoff spot in his career, Sogard has amassed a .275/.351/.400 line. While much of that came from his strong 2019 season, Sogard put together a .263/.367/.340 line across 226 plate appearances...
