His immediate replacement veteran swing-man Austin Pruitt (RHP, HOU)—6.6 Dom, 4.87 ERA, .849 OPS vR over 200 MLB IP—is suddenly dealing with elbow inflammation.  #5 starter Josh James (RHP, HOU) finally arrived in camp Monday following the birth of his daughter, reportedly with throwing program intact during his absence. But shaky control, health had already tabbed James as speculative, and now his readiness is questionable.
