In an effort to regain command in the AL West, HOU will attempt to shore up their rotation first and foremost while also tinkering with an inconsistent offense that scored just 3.5 runs per game in July. After a seven week layoff following knee surgery, Scott Feldman (RHP, HOU)—4.80/3.83 ERA/xERA over 60 IP—is tentatively scheduled to return on Saturday, where he'll join Colin McHugh (RHP, HOU) and rookie Lance McCullers (RHP, HOU) in the middle three rotation spots. But even with McCullers' strong rookie showing to date and McHugh's decent skills belying a 4.50 ERA, none of these names are rock-solid #2-4 options for a contending club—let alone post-season play—particularly with the #5 spot being an ongoing question...
