Both staff ace Sean Manaea (rotator cuff tendinitis) and Brett Anderson (forearm strain) were DL'd within a couple of days of each other. Announced replacements Daniel Mengden (RHP, OAK)—4.28/4.74 ERA/xERA thru 95 MLB IP—and Frankie Montas (RHP, OAK)—3.75/4.74 ERA/xERA—aren't good bets to contribute plus efforts in their place. Montas's stuff, improving control, and a 12% SwK over his last four OAK starts in July give fantasy owners a longer term future to dream on.
