PT TOMORROW: AL East—Pineda, Myers, Encarnacion on comeback trail

The Yankees are expected to welcome Michael Pineda (RHP, NYY) back to their rotation this week, possibly on Wednesday. In a pair of starts for AAA-Scranton-Wilkes-Barre, Pineda yielded only one run over 7 2/3 IP with an 11/1 K/BB ratio, so he appears ready to help both the Yankees and fantasy owners.

The team now has the surprising dilemma of which of its stopgap starters to bump from the rotation to make room for Pineda. A natural assumption might have been Esmil Rogers (RHP, NYY), but with a PQS-4 in an Aug. 8 start after being claimed off waivers, Rogers may have earned another opportunity, as suggested by comments from manager Joe Girardi.

The other possibility is that it will be Chris Capuano (LHP, NYY) who steps...
