PT TOMORROW: AL East—Might Doubront make a leap?

One of the most positive stories this spring for the Boston Red Sox has been Felix Doubront (LHP, BOS), who, unlike a year ago, reported to camp in great shape in an effort to address one of the big question marks about him: stamina.

Thus far, Doubront has been perfect in six spring innings against major leaguers, though he did yield a couple of runs against minor-leaguers this past week. Doubront is hoping to avoid a repeat of last year, in which his Dom steadily decreased in each month as the season wore on.

Doubront’s other issue has been his control. So far, so good in that regard, too: no walks and 6 K in his 6 IP. It’s a small, spring sample, to be sure, but at age 26 with significant MLB experience under his belt,...
