PT TOMORROW: AL East—Drury's PT less dreary in TOR, but at whose expense?

For Brandon Drury (3B, TOR), the trade that sent him Toronto has the potential of going from the frying pan to the fire in terms of his playing time.

Drury’s ill-timed early season DL stint allowed Miguel Andujar (3B, NYY) and Gleyber Torres (2B, NYY) to leave Drury in the dust at the positions at which he might have otherwise carved out a role for the Yankees.

Nonetheless, Drury has been told he will get a shot to show what he can do with the Blue Jays, which means that someone—or a few people—are in line to lose playing time, at least to some extent.

In the near term, it would be hard to envision Lourdes Gurriel (2B, TOR) being that “someone,” given that he had strung together 10 straight multi-hit games July 11-28...
