Out since May 19 with recurring blister/fingernail issues, Aaron Sanchez (RHP, TOR) is progressing well and figures to start a rehab assignment this week—and could return to the rotation as early as next week, providing a much-needed boost to a Blue Jays staff that has scuffled in June (5.95 ERA).

The most affected will likely be right-hander Joe Biagini (RHP, TOR), who figures to move back to the bullpen after having much success (3.38 ERA, 5.7 Cmd) there to start the season. Since joining the rotation on May 7, Biagini has fared reasonably well, posting a 4.91 ERA with 36 K (vs. 11 BB) in 44 innings. Much of the damage has come in his last two starts (six ER in one IP against the White Sox; four ER in 5.2 IP at TEX),...
