The starting rotation is currently a mess with Eduardo Rodriguez (LHP, DET) hitting the IL with a ruptured finger. He has had a nice bounce-back season with a 2.13 ERA through 11 starts, and his presence will be missed. The rest of the starters have combined for a 5.85 ERA (through Tuesday) in the other 42 starts, with Joey Wentz (LHP, DET) (7.80 ERA), Spencer Turnbull (RHP, DET) (7.26), and Matt Boyd (LHP, DET) (5.96) being the main culprits. 

Help may be on the way, though probably not as soon as the team needs it if they hope to hang around in the American League Central race. Tarik Skubal (LHP, DET) threw live BP earlier this week in what was expected to be his final tune-up before embarking on a rehab assignment. He...
