Starting pitching continues to be a huge problem area for the White Sox in 2018—they currently rank 28th out of 30 teams in starter ERA, and dead last in BB/9 and K/9—so it's certainly welcome news for the team and its fans that Carlos Rodón (LHP, CHW) is nearing a return to the rotation. (Though the team got a scare when the injury-prone lefty took a line drive off his forehead in a rehab start on May 24th; thankfully, he was fine.) Rodon is working his way back from offseason surgery to relieve bursitis in his shoulder, and is likely to make at least two more rehab starts in the minors before being activated from the DL, which means he could be back in action by the first week of June.
