PT TOMORROW: AL Central—Nelson Cruz's injury causes playing time ripple effect

After largely avoiding the Injured List this year, the Twins suddenly find some key members out of action as we enter the final third of the season.  No one had been hotter at the plate this past week than Nelson Cruz (DH, MIN) who ruptured the ECU tendon in his wrist on a swing and will be out indefinitely until further assessments can be made. This leaves the designated hitter slot wide open and it is likely that Miguel Sanó (3B/DH, MIN) will fill in while Cruz is on the mend. This move could shift sub Ehire Adrianza (INF, MIN) to a bigger role, covering third base for Sano. Though the cause for the roster chain reaction will hurt offensive output, losing Cruz, it could result in a bit of a boost to the defense at...
