PT TOMORROW: AL Central—Iglesias out, Drew in?

José Iglesias (SS/3B, DET) has stress fractures in both shins. It is uncertain how long he will be out. The Tigers announced that he will start the season on the DL. Reports have suggested that he may miss from a few weeks to the entire year. In PT TODAY writer Tom Kephart suggested Steve Lombardozzi (2B/OF, DET) and Hernán Pérez (2B, DET) could step in and share the PT at SS. As Kephart pointed out, neither brings an impressive offensive resume. If Iglesias’ absence is extended, the Tigers will probably look outside the organization.
