It’s now official according to Manager Robin Ventura. Ronald Belisario  (RHP, CHW) is out as closer. Ventura has said that he will use the entire bullpen, depending on the situation, to close out games. Mike Shears covered the possibilities in PT Today here. Matt Lindstrom (RHP, CHW), the closer earlier in the season, is not expected back until August at the earliest. Nate Jones (RHP, CHW), who was also in the mix, has started throwing from flat ground, but still doesn’t have a timetable for his return.

As Shears noted, the three most likely candidates for saves are Jacob Petricka (RHP, CHW), Zach Putnam (RHP, CHW), and Javy Guerra (RHP, CHW). Petricka and Putnam both saved games over the weekend. Putnam has the better...
