Byron Buxton (OF, MIN) has had a disappointing season, as he's hit just .207 with 17 HR and 9 SB, and as usual, he's had a couple of trips to the IL. His latest stint is because of a hamstring strain that has kept him out of action since the beginning of August.

Buxton recently embarked on a rehab assignment, indicating a return is near, and after being limited to DH duties all season, he is getting some action in center field as he works his way back. It's highly unlikely he'll be asked to man the position on a daily basis but having him available out there would give the team more options, including getting Michael Taylor (OF, MIN) and his .280 OBP out of the lineup more often.
