Cleveland has lost yet another All-Star level starter as Carlos Carrasco (RHP, CLE) has been placed on the IL with an ailment mysteriously described as a “blood disorder,” and no timetable has been given for his return. Though he hasn’t put up his usual ace-type numbers this season, he has been throwing well as his 79/11 K/BB ratio over 65 innings pitched indicates. For the first time since 2013, he has surrendered more than a hit per inning, leading to an inflated 1.31 WHIP while his 4.98/3.50 ERA/xERA highlight his low 69% S% and elevated 1.9 HR/9.
