Zack Short (SS, DET) has pushed his way into a larger role recently, starting six of the team's last nine games. All of those starts have come at second base, while he has also made multiple appearances at four other spots across the diamond (SS, 3B, CF, RF). 

After registering a .500 OPS and 61% ct% in 165 PA over the past two seasons, he has shown improvement in this year's 75 PA sample. Short has bumped his ct% up to 72% and has posted a .264/.325/.417 slash line with 3 HR and 1 SB. Short boasts a weak .210 xBA, but his 140 xPX shows he does have a little pop. He could be useful in AL-only formats, and maybe deep mixers, as long as he's getting regular playing time.
