NL West: Another opportunity for Toglia in COL

Since being recalled from AAA-Albuquerque on June 16, 1B Michael Toglia has started eight consecutive games at 1B and has hit 4th or 5th in the order in six of the eight games. Toglia started the season with the Rockies, but was optioned to Albuquerque on May 31 after hitting just .194/.266/.349 with 6 HR and a very unsightly 39% K% in 207 PA. Since returning he is hitting .303/.343/.667 with 3 HR, 8 RBI, and a 31% K% over 35 PA. Toglia continues to hit the ball hard (36% Hard%), but a low 57% ct% will continue to limit has AVG potential.

Prior to Toglia being recalled, the Rockies were rolling out a combination of 1B Keston Hiura, IF Orlando Arcia, and IF Kyle Farmer at 1B with little success. Hiura was sent to...
