NL Central: Pedro Ramírez gets a regular role in Chicago

The Cubs are finally gaining a bit of ground on the Brewers, sitting 4.5 games back of the Brewers heading into a three-game series this weekend in Seattle. They currently sit atop the wild card standings with a six-game lead over the Padres, who occupy the last wild card spot heading into play on Thursday.

They will need to try and make up more ground in the division without their starting shortstop for about a month. Dansby Swanson hit the injured list with an oblique issue over the weekend.
