Redmond seems to be of the opinion that Hechavarria will ultimately be a guy who bats leadoff or second in the lineup.

Hechavarria has a .227/.284/.240 with 0 HR, 1 RBI, 6 SB and 0.40 Eye in 75 AB from the leadoff spot. The 24-year-old was moved to leadoff in the second half of July after hitting extremely well over the first half of the month, but he struggled in the role and was moved down in the order.
