AL Central: Wallner swinging hot bat at Triple-A

Minnesota Twins

Matt Wallner (OF, MIN) got off to a rough start this season and after just 33 PA he was demoted to Triple-A in mid-April. It took him a while to get going there but he has really been rolling lately, delivering a massive .320/.401/.728 line and 14 HR across his last 142 PA.

A 70% ct% during that time shows there is still plenty of swing-and-miss in Wallner's game, which makes him an ongoing BA risk. The OF/1B/DH mix is also pretty crowded against RHP, especially since Carlos Santana (1B, MIN) and José Miranda (3B, MIN) have been on extended heaters. But Wallner could get another shot in the near future and has the potential to provide a power boost for those who scoop him up.
