AL East: Povich aims to stick in Orioles' rotation

Baltimore’s starting pitching depth took another hit last week as Kyle Bradish became the third starter to undergo season-ending elbow surgery, joining John Means and Tyler Wells. As injuries mount, the team is becoming increasingly likely to upgrade its rotation via trade as the Trade Deadline looms.

Before the Trade Deadline, though, Baltimore is expecting another reinforcement to its rotation with the return of Dean Kremer. Kremer appeared to be nearing a return but struggled in his last rehab outing on June 22, failing to make it out of the first inning (0.2 IP, 5 H, 5 ER, 1 K, 1 BB), which could prompt the team to hold off on activating him for now and instead have him make another rehab start.
