AL Central: Acuña runs out of runway

Coming into the season, most of the conversation surrounding Luisangel Acuña focused on how long it might take for him to make the defensive transition to center field. Since he had a good spring training (.409 BA, 1.003 OPS over 44 AB), there was reason to feel optimistic about his bat, and when the White Sox acquired him back in January, GM Chris Getz had made it clear they did so with the intention of playing him every day, saying “We have opportunity here, and we can provide that runway to show off his talent, ability, and ceiling.”

But runways of opportunity for up-and-coming players in MLB only stay open as long as you're producing, and Acuña has not been hitting. Like, at all. His .177 SLG and .407 OPS rank...
